Then we follow up with 18 chapters of inspiration and motivation. We want to inspire you to come up with your own ideas. And see those ideas come to fruition.

The part we want to play in your moment of creativity is that of a life coach.

This version of the Wellness Number is founded by Anthony Paul.

Originally a successful trainer in the health and fitness industry.

Paul also has over 10 years’ experience as a land tenures officer.

He has been exposed to many different types of corporate work environments in Australia and New Zealand.

He has created his own unique version of the Wellness Number.
A simple measure of sustainable well-being.

The end result of his workplace numbering is a marked improvement in communication between employees and employers.

This removes the latent frustration that can build up in a workplace and gives everyone the expression that is measured and helpful.

This is how we calculate your Wellness Number.

We give you 10 suggested headings.

  • Here are some examples.
  • 1-Health.
  • 2-Finances.
  • 3-Relationships-Family.
  • 4-Relationships-Friends.
  • 5-Workplace Happiness.
  • 6-Sleep.
  • 7-Recognition.
  • 8-Leisure [rest and relaxation].
  • 9-Achievement.
  • 10-Safety and security.

Don’t worry about the exact meaning of each heading.
Let the number come to you naturally as you look at the heading.
There is no right or wrong answer.
Humans have this ability to give a number out of 10 for all sorts of things.
Every day for 28 days you will send us an email with a number out of 10 for each heading.
Do not look at yesterday’s number when you do your new days number.
It needs to be a free flowing expression of how you feel about each heading as you number it out of 10.
If for some reason you cannot give a number or you miss a day, we suggest you give it a 5 out of 10.

You will be more motivated by our involvement.
As we point out in our introduction, our son was a fitness trainer.
Exercise is free but people still paid him to come alongside them.
We all do things to a higher level when a third person is involved.
The numbers and graphs that we give you represent more than facts and figures.
My son and I both have a motivational gift.
People get energised and find a little believing goes a long way.
The numbers that we give you will empower you because they are an accurate measurement of 28 days in your life.

Your memory may be clear but a number is clearer.

We do not offer advice.
We believe that less words end up carrying more meaning.
Numbers are our game because they are un-emotional.

By the way you may be wondering why we are only offering this in the U.S.A.
One of the main reasons is that my family are huge fans of America.
My son-in-law wants to live in New York.
My daughter has a successful website about American baking and sweets.
My wife feels a positive attitude when she goes to America.
And me….I like motivating Americans.
Well …I like motivating all people.

Most people recognise that happiness and well-being are influenced through a better understanding.

Knowing your wellness number will create a happier and more productive you.

10 years’ experience in measuring well-being

Paul’s 10 years’ experience of working in local council, state government and private companies focused his mind on the need of creating measures of well-being, including the use of simple statistics.

Every workplace needs research into happiness and wellbeing

The ability to give people a simple number that reflects their state of being over a period of time should empower them.

How to put a number on employee happiness.

We get a number by asking for a number.
We don’t ask any questions.
We give the employee a sheet of paper with 10 headings.
We ask them to give a number out of ten.
If they cannot give a number…we ask them to mark the number as 5.
We get 10 numbers from them for the 10 different headings every workday for 4 weeks.
We add those numbers up every day to give a figure out of 100.
Which we then divide by 10.
We do this daily, weekly and then for the month.
We also do a graph for every heading over the 4 weeks.

  • WORK ACHIEVEMENT. 6 OUT OF 10
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT. 5 OUT OF 10
  • WORK RELATIONSHIPS. 4 OUT OF 10
  • WORK TRAVEL. 5 OUT OF 10
  • WORK LEISURE. 6 OUT OF 10
  • WORK FINANCES. 7 OUT OF 10
  • WORK SAFETY. 8 OUT OF 10
  • WORK PROMOTION. 4 OUT OF 10
  • WORK COMMUNICATION. 2 OUT OF 10
  • SCORE FOR THAT DAY IS 54 OUT OF 100….OR 5.4

What About Your Ideas..?

The truth is that anyone can calculate their own wellness number.
You do not need me to do it for you.
I just wanted to share the idea with you.
I believe in motivation by numbers and by ideas.
Now that you have an understanding of the wellness number.
Which is only common wisdom that we all possess.
I would like to spend the next year motivating you.
I want to encourage you to create ideas and to value those ideas.
You have your very own creative imagination.
